Outdoor activities abound in Summit County, so if you will be visiting us during the summer months, you will want to spend as much time as possible exploring, whether by mountain bike, raft or gondola. Breckenridge and Keystone also have some of the most incredible hiking trails in the state, and there are dozens of driving tours that will take you through the high peaks and mountain passes.
Staying in our cabin near Breckenridge Colorado will give you easy access to nearly every town in this area. Families enjoy the Sunset at the Summit Concerts at the Dillon Amphitheater, National Repertory Orchestra concerts in Breckenridge, plus music and arts festivals in practically every town. These, events that are generally held throughout July and August, but one perennial favorite is the Keystone Bluegrass and Beer Festival.
The Keystone Bluegrass and Beer Festival is held at River Run at Keystone from July 31st through August 1st. It starts with a Friday night concert at Warren Station, and continues with a beer garden, beer tasting, and a fabulous festive atmosphere. Visitors enjoy down-home cooking, mountain music, and lots and lots of beer from microbreweries throughout the region while live music rocks three stages. There is also a free KidZone, including crafts, entertainment and inflatable amusements. This year’s event features bands like Mountain Standard Time, the Farewell Drifters, and Steel Pennies and several others.
