Yellowstone National Park
The Yellowstone park is one of the "must see" items located in the vicinity of the Rocky Mountains. Most well known for the "Old Faithful" geyser located within, it is known that indigenous Indians have lived in the park for the past 11,000 years.
Another fascinating aspect of this part, is the Volcano called the Yellowstone Caldera, which is the biggest Super Volcano in America. It's still active and has the power to change the geothermal activity of half the world!
This grand park itself draws 2 millions tourists to it every year.
Royal Gorge
The Royal Gorge is a famous Canyon that runs for over 10 miles. Narrow, steep, and deep, it is over 1,250 feet in depth. Not for the weak of heart.
One of the fun activities available in the Royal Gorge, is whitewater rafting. Tourists get a glimpse of what it's like first hand inside the Class IV rapids. However, other activities like Bungee jumping are generally not allowed.
