Fine Dining in Breckenridge, Colorado

The historic town of Breckenridge never ceases to entertain, and you will certainly be famished after an exciting day of activities and skiing. There are several Breckenridge restaurants, but here are a few favorites:

The Briar Rose Restaurant & Bar is located at 109 East Lincoln Avenue. When Breckenridge was still a mining town, the restaurant served meals to the miners, giving it the same name as the Briar Rose Silver Mine. Bill and Roe Schardt have been providing an assortment of prime rib, flavorful steaks, unbelievably fresh seafood, an eclectic selection of wild game and many other American foods in a lovely Victorian-style dining hall. Stop by Briar’s Trophy Bar either before or after your meal, and enjoy the sounds of local musicians in a comfortable setting.

The Dredge Boat House, located at 180 West Jefferson Street, reminds us of a time in the early 20^th century when there were nine dredges operating in Summit County. This incredible restaurant was built on a two-million pound floating dredge and it is a replica of one of the very last dredges that ever functioned on the Blue River. Drift down the river while munching on some Alaskan King Crab Legs, Steak Diane, Elk Medallions or any of their seafood specials.

Another restaurant option is the Blue River Bistro, located at 305 North Main Street. It is a stylish place to go after skiing, and it offers the most amazing food; savory steaks, new chicken dishes, and lots of innovative seafood entrees. Their wine menu includes a vast selection of domestic and imported wines, or if you are in the mood for a martini choose from a selection of 75 original martinis.
