In the summer, tourist season goes from June through Labor Day. Breckenridge beckons tourists with mountain biking, music festivals, wildflower hikes and an enticing series of summer concerts.. Visitors also enjoy the lively arts district in downtown Breckenridge for its eclectic collection of museums and galleries.

Originally a mining town, the historic district of Breckenridge now houses over 200 shops, including art galleries, chic boutiques, antique stores, jewelers, bookstores and gift shops. The downtown promenades of Main Street, South Park Avenue and Ridge Street are filled with an assortment of restaurants such as French, sushi, pizza, seafood and classic American.
